If earrings are made out of sterling silver and it says they total 3.5 carats, is the earring real or fake?
the Stud diamond, real or fake?

- Interesting question, why do you ask?
- Real or fake what? Sterling means it's real silver...the 3.5 carats could be either.
- This is confusing. Silver is silver - real. 3.5 carats refers to the stones. Hard to tell if they are real or not. If there are two stones each one would be over a carat. It is pretty unusual to set a 1+carat diamond in silver. If the diamonds are real or have any quality, the earrings should have cost several thousand dollars.
- How much did you pay for it? Because they can make rings that are real silver and have a fake diamond and they are like $20.00
