If earrings are made out of sterling silver and it says they total 3.5 carats, is the earring real or fake?

2. Real or fake what? Sterling means it's real silver...the 3.5 carats could be either.
3. This is confusing. Silver is silver - real. 3.5 carats refers to the stones. Hard to tell if they are real or not. If there are two stones each one would be over a carat. It is pretty unusual to set a 1+carat diamond in silver. If the diamonds are real or have any quality, the earrings should have cost several thousand dollars.
4. How much did you pay for it? Because they can make rings that are real silver and have a fake diamond and they are like $20.00
